The WHSA0044 is a striking option from Cartier’s Santos-Dumont collection, combining its historic case design with a modern black skeletonized appearance. It features a 43.5mm by 31.4mm stainless steel case with black lacquer, paired with a black alligator leather strap. The openworked display uses black lacquered bridges to form Cartier’s signature Roman numerals, along with blued steel sword-shaped hands. Its functional micro-rotor is shaped like the Demoiselle aircraft designed by Alberto Santos-Dumont in 1907, creating a natural connection to the model’s aviation history. Powering the WHSA0044 is Cartier’s in-house Caliber 9629 MC automatic skeleton movement with approximately 44 hours of power reserve.
