Description:
The Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch is quite literally the watch that made Omega what it is today, a household name in Swiss watchmaking. With a rich history dating back to the 1960s and the iconic Space Race, this Speedmaster is deliberately made to be as close to the original as possible. It sacrifices the modern and common sapphire crystal for a more period-correct and highly domed hesalite acrylic crystal. It also features a thicker and more robust, utilitarian bracelet, as opposed to the slimmer and more classic bracelets from the sapphire crystal models. This ethos is continued even with the clasp, which is thicker, bulkier, and more rugged. The differences in watch details stop here, but the Moonwatch is famous for its large box set with a plethora of memorabilia and accessories (including the iconic Speedmaster medallion, a NATO strap, NASA spacesuit strap, and Speedmaster history book. Powering this legendary watch is Omega’s in-house Caliber 1861 mechanical movement with 48 hours of power reserve.
