The 405.031 is widely regarded as one of A. Lange & Söhne’s most celebrated modern chronographs, combining exceptional movement architecture with a striking rose gold and black dial configuration. Introduced in 2015, it brought the Datograph Up/Down to a rose gold case and added a power reserve indicator to one of the most respected chronograph designs in watchmaking. It features a 41mm rose gold case paired with a brown alligator leather strap. Its black dial is accented by contrasting silver subdials, along with Lange’s signature oversized date display and an Up/Down power reserve indicator. The flyback chronograph features a precisely jumping minute counter, a hallmark of the Datograph that has helped establish its reputation among collectors. Powering the 405.031 is A. Lange & Söhne’s in-house Caliber L951.6 manual-winding chronograph movement with 60 hours of power reserve.
