The 25940SK.OO.D002CA.02.A is one of the most recognizable early Royal Oak Offshore models, often referred to by collectors as the “Rubberclad.” Introduced in the early 2000s, it features a 42mm stainless steel case with a rubber-clad bezel, crown, and chronograph pushers, paired with a black rubber strap. Typically seen with a silver Mega Tapisserie dial, this model has been swapped for another beautiful OEM dial in a vibrant red. The use of rubber on the bezel and case components gave the Offshore a more contemporary look and helped distinguish it from earlier generations of the collection. Powering the 25940SK.OO.D002CA.02.A is Audemars Piguet’s Caliber 2326/2840 automatic chronograph movement (based on Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Caliber 889 with a Dubois-Dépraz chronograph module) with 38 hours of power reserve.
