Description:
The WHSA0009 is a striking take on Cartier’s historic Santos design, combining its recognizable case shape with a fully skeletonized and modern black appearance. The Santos traces its roots to 1904, when Louis Cartier created a wristwatch for Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. It features a 39.7mm black ADLC-coated steel case paired with a black alligator leather strap. The openworked dial uses the movement’s bridges to form Cartier’s signature Roman numerals, allowing the mechanics to become the central part of the design. Gray sword-shaped hands provide contrast while maintaining the watch’s mostly monochromatic look. Powering the WHSA0009 is Cartier’s in-house Caliber 9612 MC manual-winding movement with approximately 72 hours of power reserve.
